This book is another great resource for finding solutions to sleep problems – this book teaches you how to use the “Ferber Method” for teaching your baby to fall asleep on their own.

If I could only have one reference book in my house, this would be it. The book is easy to use, the answers are objective and to the point and it is a combination of many of the other books currently on the market.


The Baby Book: Everything You Need to Know About Your Baby from Birth to Age Two By William Sears, Martha Sears, Robert Sears and James Sears

This is a comprehensive book that has answers to the most common questions. This book has a single point of view which is why we prefer baby 411, which presents multiple points of view on most issues, but it remains a staple in our house nonetheless.

We love this cookbook. It has made making our own baby food fun and has given us ideas for food combinations that we would not have tried on our own.



Disease Proof Your Child: Feeding Kids Right by Joel Fuhrman

This book explains how feeding your children right can have a strong impact on your child’s resistance to dangerous infections and can reduce the occurrence of common illnesses like ear infections and allergies.
